The process of using aluminum to make aluminum products

Aluminum Coil is the flat rolled product of rectangular cross-section with uniform thickness over 0.2 mm which is produced through hot rolling mills and cold rolling mills. When the aluminum is passed between rollers under pressure, it becomes thinner and longer in the direction in which it is moving. This simple process is the basis to produce aluminum coils. It is commonly used under 6.0 mm which is rolled repeatedly through a cold rolling process to the desired thickness, and can be made by direct chill (DC) casting process or continuous casting (CC) process.

Aluminum Sheet is cut from coil, namely cut to length, and supplied in straight lengths usually with trimmed or sawn edges, through leveling & cutting machine. By this way, the aluminum material can be distributed in small quantities by piece, and easy to be transported in a safe and flexible way.

Aluminum Plate is a rolled product that is rectangular in cross section and with thickness not less than 6.0mm (or 0.250 inches) with sheared or sawed edges. It is produced either by hot rolled or cold rolled process in coil, and then cut to length . Aluminum thick plate can also be produced by piece directly in straight length, depending on thickness. To obtain excellent properties, the plate (especially for heat treatable alloy) is usually processed by complicated and technical heat treatment.

Aluminum Tread Plate is sheet or plate having a raised figured pattern on one side to provide improved traction and a smooth surface on the other side. The raised pattern is pressed on the surface of aluminum coil when it passes the roller with pattern under pressure.

Aluminum Circle is a circular flat product obtained by circular sawing or shearing (i.e.: diameter over 700 mm), or by blanking (i.e.: diameter less than 700 mm) of a flat rolled product with a uniform thickness over 0.5 mm. Its stock is usually the cold rolled sheet in coil or rectangular sheet in small size, and both DC and CC materials are available upon request. It is subsequently formed or drawn for applications of kitchenware and containers.
